At Diversion Books, we strongly believe clarity and consistency in payments are essential to strong author relationships. Over time, like many growing publishers, we have refined and improved our internal systems to ensure greater accuracy, timeliness, and visibility for our authors, so we wanted to share how our payment structure works with all of our current and future partners.

Throughout the book's lifetime, we track sales across all formats and channels to ensure author royalty statements are thorough and accurate.

We issue royalty statements and payments twice a year, in line with the semiannual schedule outlined in each publishing contract. Each statement reflects sales revenue from the previous six months and is generated through a standardized process to ensure accuracy. It includes gross units sold, returns, and royalties earned during that period.
